Man boppers,
This is quite the funky task. I'm taking this Chantix stuff this time and it is as funky as smoking. Wish me luck! Day 2 and all is well.  Grin

Thanks Jillah! Day 3 and this Chantix stuff is like a miracle drug. Brtual side-effects but I have been smoking sine I was 14 and this is a breeze. I just about went insane day 1 each time I tried to quit before. The quitting smoking part is not even on my mind. Its all these side effects from the pills. Its worse than the day after Langerado ; ) haha. All things aside this looks like the end of smoking and me!

For those of you that may be looking into the drug - Side effects:

a fog like state for a bunch of days. Much like being stoned. Not so good for work but tolerable. a little bit of nausea but I'm still of the belief that's the nicotine at work like a devil on my shoulder. The last side effect is the dreams. Now people have been bitching about that and to them I say  Huh? These dreams have been the best! I was a fighter pilot last night, the night before I was a rock star! Vivid dreams come alongside these meds as a horrible side effect. To me - I will miss them when they are gone! haha.

Anywhoo - enough about me. Let's talk funk!

hate it enough to quit and know it will kill you, you will eventaully give it up, if not now, later.

I did it...u can too...it does get easier, and it becomes easier to breath again,...over time.
peace,

Thanks FLMF!
I'm on day 5 now and I can actually feel myself breathing better. Pretty crazy how addictive smokes are. I'm starting to taste things a little better too now. I'll never get all preachy as I absolutely adored smoking but after a while it take a toll on ya. The Chantix side effects are still in full effect but so worth it! anyway, don't mean to get all bloggy here. haha.  afro

No...do not get preachy, and do not think you are denying yourself anything, it just comes down to HOW BADLY you want to be free from the smokes.

After about a month, your system is pretty clean from the nicotine, and after that, it's all mental. Chew some gum, smoke da kine, but keep on going strong

I am with you Mike, and keeping clean daily...I just wish I did not re-start up after over a year of quitting the last time, then I started with the Cloves, and smoked again and then hard for almost 5 years more.

That was really dumb, I was free of the habit..., and I went back like a dumb ass, and NOW I hate to think what I did to my lungs this time.
(not good...)

This time, and only after 2 full months now, it's still really hard still to breath a cleanly as I did before when I quit last time, which worries me, I do not snore at night, but my breathing patterns are off a bit...I am only going to be 41, and maybe I need to consider thet I am not a cat with 9 lives like I would have liked to believe, but I am grateful for every second or every day I am here, and I thank GOD every day for everything.

peace to all, life is too short and very precious...don't waste your life waiting for it..., make it happen right NOW.

keep up the good work!  It's hard to do but so worth it, going on 8 years myself.  Tried quitting a few times before I figured out that I couldn't have "just one".
