No Worries My Friend...
I literally NOW own every peice of Music the New Mastersounds have out on CD & Proudly!
While I may be new to this board, I run my own listserver called the "K.O.D", but I can honestly say I have been a New Mastersounds fan for over 4 years now.
The NMS really have not played all that much here in the USA, hopefully that will begin to change over time with the addition of many new fans.
I always support bands and artists I like to see perform, and graciously attend their shows as best I can, always buying my tickets, never asking for freebies, and in as much, I have also spent many thousands of dollars as well to hire 1 of my other very favorite bands on earth called "The Radiators" and I have hired them to play gig's for their other fans around the USA as well.
It a career, I greatly respect the JOB these guy's have, considering they make their living touring and selling their wares to all different kinds of folks.

So, yeah, I want to let you know, while it is good to buy CD's, and it is, ...I was originally turned on to the New Mastersounds back in 2004 with a FREEBIE.
I only mentioned the links, as you can turn people on very easily first with NO PRESSURE,.....&, no money needed to start em' off,.....Just think of like this, "it's a numbers game". If you sent everyone you even remotely like or know NMS Live Music to just listen to online for free,......& let's say, even if a few of them get turned on, it makes a long lasting impression,.....& one little loudmouth fan can turn on HUNDREDS OF NEW FANS!

Currently I am waiting for the NEW CD New Mastersouns RE-MIXED to come in the mail From London, hopefully tomorrow, simply becuse they don't sell it here yet in the USA.
OK........
My first run in with the New Mastersounds....
Over 4 years ago, DJ Medi4 gave me a bootleg mix of the NMS @ a Thursday Night Tipitina's GALACTIC show in NOLA in April 2004, I had first met DJ Medi4 on Jamcruise 1 in 2004, 3 months earlier. The NMS Mix CD he gave me was simply AWSOME! &, NO....at that time, I did not know who I was listening to, but I LOVED IT!!!!.......I became a NMS Addict/Fan immediately.
As I AM currently a HUGE Meters / Funky Meters / All Around Music Junkie. ( Hiya Eddie...!!) I was so in love with this DJ Medi4 Mix CD by this band I had never heard of before,....I was left in TOTAL AWE..., &, to this day, that very CD still ranks as one of the longest lasting CD's I have ever kept in my ride, as it has made it's way in and out of my car for well over 3 years.
For me, that's like listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of the Moon....except with DSOTM, you have to add 25+ years on to that "in and out" quotation remark.
SERIOUSLY, Not many CD's have ever been in my ride that long,....this one was.
&
Now it's all about the 160GB ipod, so those days are over, yet I still do not have that DJ Medi4 NMS MIX CD in the ipod yet...so yeah,...I got to find it.
I also now proudly own every NMS T shirt I could buy to help support the band in thier travels...it's realy expensive to leave the house, and not many bands, actually, I do not know ANY BANDS from England, that ever come over to the USA and tour,....and, as for merch, I even debated getting the panties for myself....but that was not happening, as I am not that type of freak.
Trust me, send the damn music links out, and make some FREE CD's to hand out out to everyone you know, as well, let many other people that may seem cool know about these guy's.
It may even have been MIke who gave me a FREE Bootleg NMS CD from a first time Delaware show ( date unknown??? ) that's in my car right now...so, thanks MIKE...YOU DA MAN BRO!!!!
The truth is, all the NMS Music is truly great, ...better yet, borderline incredible, but it's all about getting people out of their house to attend a gig, & to see the band that have never seen before, and that is where all the $$$ is at. make em' fan's, they will keep coming back, and they tell 2 friends, and so on, and so on...etc..
If the NMS could literally "Sell Out" a 30 city tour before they were weeks away from heading out on tour, it gives them a BIG step up to playing gig's for even more $$$, and no matter how much they love the fans,....SORRY YALL' they are not playing and touring for free, they chose this music career over the steady work a day income most of us schmucks have, and GOD BLESS EM' for it,.....this is one great band, and I am very proud to admit to being a NMS fan.
Ah Hell,....I don't want to see Eddie painting Houses, or Simon having a hand at telling his jokes in Comedy Clubs.
By the way, I have more than a few good friends going to see the New Mastersounds shows @ Tipitina's, which will be AWSOME...and at the Blue Nile, and that place is another tight little AWSOME music hall too.
Good for the NMS, if they loved NOLA last year, well, they are going to have the ABSOLUTE VERY BEST TIME this year!!!
......EAT CHEERIOS MATES !!!
Back in NOLA History the "Blue Nile" used to be called "The Dream Palace" and was the first ever gig to another one of my other ALL TIME very Favorite Bands called "The Radiators",.....but them RADS ain't No Normal Funk Band, they is truly the Old School, Swampy, Greasy, Rock and Roll Shite' HARDCORE straight out of the bowels of New Orleans. Louisiana.
As it is, I will be seeing 3 Radiators shows all over the second weekend I am in NOLA, as well as all the other great FUNKY stuff happening in NOLA the second weekend as I have already let you all in on, with my previous postings.
Peace, & I WILL see the rest of you MINX'ers possibly looking to say hello to me @ The Parrish, HOB in NOLA - EARLY May 3rd.
