Oh what a night! My video came out horrible as well as my pictures (Shocker! haha) but I'll post them later. I also have the soundcheck which turned out really good so I'll pop that on too. The crowd was amped and there was chocolate mushrooms going around which made for an interesting evening and boy did I see some dancers. There was this one big guy rocking out up front and I slowly saw him start to lean.....and then bamn he knocked over my camera onto booze which almost hits this guys's DAT deck. After the mess was all cleaned up that guy helped me tape down the camera for no furthur incidents. As it turns out...It was my old friend Scott Bernstein!!! If you don't know Scott well... I beg to differ. Any audience recording you've heard on the jam scene that you say.."That sure sounds like a soundboard" well its probably either Scott or maybe three other people's recordings. It was so great catching up with him over the last 10 years. I think the last time I saw him was back when I was working with moe. Jeez talk about memory lane. Scott - If you are reading this - Please chop last night and the sullivan hall gigs so we can hear your skills!
A few shout outs from the fun family of people me and my wife met last night -
Josh from Relix - Get an article of the NMS in there soon! BTW - We just loved hanging out with you. Hope to see you more often at funk shows. You were one of our favorite peeps last night. Please get this funk thing into every relix fans brain. Its the new wave.
Greg and Wheazy. You two are the epitome of fun! We miss seeing you already.
I'm horrible with names so please do not be insulted for the next parts:
The two gals from
http://www.themusicfile.com/ Dancing Greg - You are classic!
Brian from the Rhombus! You my friend are the bomb!
To the guy with the kush at the end of the night - FYI meeting you made me eat a Chicken Salad Triple Decker with Disco Fries at 1:00 in the AM. haha(Fries with Gravy and Mozz Cheese for those outside of Jersey) Thanks so much!
Joe Conte - It was fun talkin to you!
The two guys that we talked jazz, funk and Europe with. We could have talked music with you all night long.
Everyone else we met!
Crap outs go to Tamborine Girl. What is wrong with you miss? haha.
Anywhoo more on this later. I'm a little tired and my dog Newman is staring me down to play with him.
